A very clean, organized and peaceful place, 15 minutes far from Masai Mara gate, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are. Clean, the food is very yummy even though they don’t have different options. We really enjoyed our stay there. We also saw Zebra and Giraffe just out of the fence

The best place for Masai Mara stay. ☺The place is spectacular. We spend 2 nights in Kambu Mara Kamp with the kindest and helpful personel. We did not expect from that king of place much but what we got was amazing. Wery good food, the best driver for Safari Game, very clean and comfortable tant with bathroom. Se trata de un lugar mágico, sencillo pero profundamente cuidado, en el que sentirse en comunión absoluta con la naruraleza. Las tiendas son cómodas y disponen de baño privado (nuestra opción fue la Confort) y la comida estaba deliciosa. Ofrecen paseos por la zona circundantes en los que se pueden observar animales en libertad (cebras y jirafas en nuestro caso). Organzar el safari con ellos fue también un acierto, el coche fue un Toyota Land Cruiser y nuestro guía, Allan, el mejor acompañante posible. Entramos a Masai Mara los primeros, pudiendo disfrutar de la salida del sol y de los primeros animales completamente solos. Lo único malo fue tener que irse ❤️

☺We had a wonderful stay at this camp and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Maasai Mara. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating—they even upgraded our room, and every meal was delicious. Since we had several early morning safari drives, leaving at 5:30 a.m., they always prepared our breakfast boxes in advance, which made everything so easy. The location is another huge advantage. The camp is very close to the Maasai Mara entrance, saving valuable driving time for game drives. It is right next to the conservancy, and on some mornings we could simply open the tent and spot wildlife nearby. In the evenings, there was a cozy campfire where guests could relax and chat under the stars, creating a truly memorable safari atmosphere. We also appreciated that the tents were well equipped with mosquito nets, and there were surprisingly few mosquitoes during our stay, so we slept comfortably every night. The only thing to keep in mind is that the hot water relies on solar power. If you want a hot shower, it’s best to bathe before sunset. After the sun goes down, the water can become cold. Overall, this was a fantastic safari camp with excellent hospitality, a beautiful setting, and an unforgettable experience. ☹早餐面包太硬了

We booked the Nairobi National Park + Sheldrik Elephant Orphanage + Giraffe Center combo tour with Kambu Campers and we had a great time. Nathan was very helpful in telling us exactly what we needed for each attraction and providing a balanced schedule for the whole day. Anthony, our guide, provided us with a wonderful experience. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient and with lots of experience. He picked us straight from the hotel and drove us the whole day. At the National Park he showed us lions (which we've heard is quite rare), rhinos, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles and lots of birds. He gave us fun facts about each animal and also was skillful enough to avoid large crowds of cars. He also waited for us so we did not feel rushed, but he kept us on schedule for the whole day. We highly recommend this experience for tourists who have a limited amount of time i Nairobi and want to experience as many things as possible. Our group consisted of 7 people and he got a great deal for us all!

We booked their 3-day budget safari package on their website, which included return transfers from / to Nairobi, 2 nights of accommodation in a tent (with an attached bathroom), a full-day 12-hour game drive, and all meals at the camp. We fell in love with the camp from the moment we arrived, when we were greeted by the sight of zebras just on the other side of the fence outside our tent! We loved sitting on our little porch watching them for hours. On the afternoon of our arrival, we decided to book the guided walk with Nelson, which ended up being one of the highlights from our entire 2 week trip to Kenya and Tanzania. We saw giraffes, zebras, and warthogs on our walk, and Nelson also helped us identify a hyena den and various plants. It was so cool spotting these animals while out walking, instead of being in a jeep. Highly recommend booking the walk with Nelson. Our full-day game drive with Alan was absolutely fantastic. He was an incredible guide who clearly knows the park very well. We saw all of the Big 5 as well as the Great Migration, plus cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas and so many other animals. Truly could not have asked for anything more.

We had an amazing stay here. The camp is great, in a very good location, about 15 mins from the entry gate to the Maasai Mara. Our tent was super, and we could see zebras from it. Bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water. The service was outstanding, from Nathan's multiple answers and assistance before arriving, to Nelson and Felix at the camp, the chef's delicious meals, and the unforgetable game drive with Allan (his decision to start early proved to be the difference; we got to see lions hunting and two leopards!). And the ones not mentioned too, they all do an excellent job. I highly recommend them and would gladly choose them again.

I would return. The food, the people, and the setting were all special. ☺The area itself was very relaxing. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful. But the staff was the best part, so accommodating and welcoming, even with all the questions my husband asked. ;) plus the food was excellent!! Both Nelsons were great! ☹The hot water takes an incredibly long time to heat up, but that’s to be expected out there.

I had a really great stay at Kambu campers, and it was an easy drive from Nairobi! The hosts and staff were all very friendly and the food was great. The tents were comfortable and well equipped. I especially enjoyed the view from the tent in the mornings, sometimes with Zebra or giraffes walking by.

Really an amazing experience. The place is super nice, the food (vegetarian at least) is incredible, and Nelson and the rest of the staff really made our stay a pleasure. From our tent we could see zebras, warthogs and giraffes. The tent was very clean, and they even made our bed (unexpected in a camp). We definitely recommend this place to everyone! Thanks for having us!

Great camp Great location with the friendliest staff. Giraffe and elephant come close to the camp. Very safe with electric fence protecting the site. Food portions were very big and very tasty. Nelson walk in the wilderness is a must !!

Best time of our lives Kambu Camp was incredibly nice and their staff are amazing. However what made our trip so special were our two outstanding tour guides Andrew and Brian. They were so insightful and answered all our questions - so much so that we saw all of the big five on our first day! I couldn’t recommend Kambu, Andrew and Brian enough!

Great experience My spouse and I stayed here for three nights and were more than satisfied! The value for money is really good. The staff was wonderful, and that contributed a lot to our overall enjoyment! Everything went smoothly and flexibly. There were a few things we needed to confirm in advance for our own sake. Nathan answered all our questions and was helpful and friendly in every way as we planned our trip. Then there was Eric, the best of the best—our guide and driver on the three-day trip with two safaris. A wonderful person and a true professional❤️

Unforgettable experience. We went to Kambu Campers Jan2026. We had a great experience. We did one of the family packages. The tents have real beds in them. Some tents have bathrooms, some don’t. There is hot water in the showers. Power is in all tents. We enjoyed the food served. Chef Nelson was friendly and was glad to serve us at 5am before safari and when we came back at sunset. The meals were good. I wished for a cold glass of water, but that’s not possible way out there. Fruit is above average. We especially loved our driver, Eric. He picked us up in Nairobi and drove us the entire time. He gave us an unforgettable experience in the park. He knew it well, and all about the creatures. He went all out to give us close encounters. We saw 3 lions eating a warthog, a leopard is eating her impala in a tree, and a male lion seducing 2 females up close! I am recommending this experience to all my friends. Now this is a camp. The well went dry this morning (dry season) but the guys were able to get some water into the tank for toilets and washing before we left.

Highly recommended for your stay and activities in the Maasai Mara National Reserve Kambu Campers Mara Camp is a wonderful lodge, and is highly recommended. Our family of 4 greatly appreciated our stay. The tents and facilities were impeccable, and the food was delicious. Nathan, the owner, is very professional, dependable, attentive and diligent. The personnel are also very friendly and helpful. Nathan has organised our transport from Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a Game Drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a visit to a Masai Village and finally our transport to the Keekorok Airstrip and everything was great and flawless. I would definitely recommend Kambu Campers for your stay, as well as your activities while visiting the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Incredible experience Kambu Campers is a ‘luxury’ camping experience at an affordable rate. The tent facilities are spacious and comfortable, with large beds akin to staying at a hotel. You have stunning views of sunsets and animals. The communal areas, such as the dining hall, fire pit, and bathroom facilities are clean and inviting. The service is exceptional - Chef Nelson’s cooking is worth to book!! Nelson, Felix and the security guard ensure that all your needs and comforts are met. They are extremely friendly and helpful. We booked Alan, a Masai guide, for a three days of safari, and had a magical experience. He even helped us get a discount for the unforgettable balloon ride! Congats Nathan and Sarah for an exceptional job with Kambu Campers - can’t wait to return.

Best experience in Kenya so far Clean, friendly, food was simple but very well prepared, felt super safe, even with some wild animals just outside the fence (Zebras, Giraffes, Jackals and many more). Nice sunset and sunrise. Very calm. Beautiful tents, good beds. Only the coffee was weak, that was my only issue :-)

Best value option by far for Masai Mara This really is a wonderful place to stay at if you’re open to self catering. The tents are great with nice linens on comfortable beds. There are pleasant sharing common areas and a small kitchen, which I imagine could get busy with the camp full. There is a mid size fridge / freezer and a standard stove / oven. Staff are friendly and set up games for the kids. It seems they’re constructing a restaurant for use later in the year. One less good point was that the car provider facilitated by the camp provided two real clunkers on the two consecutive days. I would advise care in avoiding similar characters and ensuring Vehicles meet minimum standards. This is so important as you can no longer take your own vehicle into the Mara - and this is a fundamental part of the experience. Overall the camp is a big win with excellent value for money, a lovely and responsive owner, and a high standard of lodging.

We had a brilliant time at Nathan and Sarah’s camp. They were very friendly, helpful hosts. The tent was great with very comfortable beds and it was not too hot in the evenings so we slept very well. We had everything we needed with hot showers and being able to charge our phones!There were also games that we made good use of and having the fire going in the evening was lovely. It was a very peaceful location and we seen giraffes and zebras just outside the camp, less than 50ft from our tent!Sarah sent loads of helpful info on where we could stop en route from Nairobi for food and supplies. We were also given recommendations on where we could eat locally and we made use of the restaurants at a couple of other lodges.Sarah organised our Land Cruiser hire and guide for our safari - a Masai guide called Alan who was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend a stay at Kambu! Thank you so much Nathan and Sarah!
